Casey William Kroll, 42, of Fargo has been charged in Becker County District Court with felony first-degree damage to property, felony theft and felony possession of burglary tools

According to court records, at 2:25 a.m. on Jan. 18, Detroit Lakes police officers found Kroll in the fenced area behind R&G Subaru in Detroit Lakes. He had a DeWalt Sawzall underneath a vehicle that he was hiding near.

An officer looked under the vehicle and noticed one end of a pipe on a catalytic converter had been cut. Kroll was arrested and taken to jail.

Footprints led officers to a duffel bag that contained tools and a large spool of coated copper wire.

Footprints also led officers to an enclosed trailer. The back end was open, and the trailer contained large spools of copper wire similar to the type found in the duffel bag. The enclosed trailer's aluminum latch had been cut in half.

The total amount of stolen parts recovered exceeded $2,000 and included items such as concrete vibrator, torch, carjack, and wrench.

An R&G Subaru employee said the total damages to two vehicles and the enclosed trailer was over $8,000.

On Jan. 19, cash bail for Kroll was set at $500 or bond at $5,000, under standard conditions of release, or $15,000 bond with no conditions. On Jan. 27, he was released on $500 cash bond.

Justin Robert Marlen, 37, of Detroit Lakes has been charged in Becker County District Court with felony theft and illegal possession of a firearm or ammunition, a felony.

According to court records, on Dec. 31, 2021, a Detroit Lakes police officer responded to a report of two Taurus revolvers being stolen from a residence. The reporting parties said they had allowed Marlen to stay at the residence for a month back in October and November 2021, and they suspected that he took the revolvers.

Police investigated and found that a Becker County man had bought a Taurus 357 revolver from Marlen in October, which matched the one reported stolen.

On Jan. 24, cash bail was set at zero, under standard conditions of release. His next court date is March 7.

Alfonso Macias-Pulido, 31, of Detroit Lakes has been charged in Becker County District Court with felony second-degree controlled substance crime.

According to court records, on March 24, 2021, he sold 10 watermelon-flavored LSD gummies to an undercover operative with the West Central Minnesota Drug and Violent Crime Task Force.

The sale was set up through Snapchat using the "Detroit Lakes Dispensary" account associated with a cellular phone number used by Macias-Pulido. The account advertised the sale and distribution of marijuana, cocaine, THC edibles, and LSD.

An advertisement on the "Detroit Lakes Dispensary" account showed multiple watermelon-shaped gummy candies with the caption, "Lsd watermelon gummies double dosed $20 each."

The sale was arranged via text and the undercover operative bought them from Macias-Pulido at Riverview mobile home park in Detroit Lakes.

The gummies weighed 32.8 grams without packaging and tested positive for Lysergic Acid Diethylamide (LSD), a controlled substance.

On Jan. 19 a summons was issued for him to appear at a remote court on March 3.

Christopher Leo Stanley Munter, 28, of rural Lake Park has been charged in Becker County District Court with felony domestic assault.

According to court records, on Jan. 17, a Becker County deputy responded to a residence near Lake Park on the report of an assault.

A woman there said Munter, her ex-boyfriend, had elbowed her in the face and fled the property. When the officer arrived, the woman reported there was an argument between her and Munter. At one point, he began to dump alcohol in the sink. The woman tried stopping him, which led to Munter elbowing her out of the way.

The woman went into her bedroom and locked the door. Munter kicked the bedroom door open and shoved her, causing her to fall in the bathtub. He proceeded to hit her on the side of her face.

The vehicle Munter left in was located in the ditch off 120th Avenue. There were footprints in the snow leaving the vehicle, but he was not found.

On Jan. 20, a warrant was issued for his arrest.
